“A comfortable, spacious, well equipped chalet, ideal for a group.”
This very comfortable 4 bedroom chalet is located in Klosters Dorf. This a small village a short bus ride from Klosters Platz. An easy walk down the hill takes you to the Madrissa ski hill, lots of fun but mainly T bars on the slope. A bus outside the chalet leaves twice an hour for Klosters Platz, the main, famous ski area. There are some magnificent ski runs and excellent restaurants on the slopes. We left our skis and boots in Klosters Platz on the first day at a rental shop at the bus/train stop which made things much easier. We took a bus into Klosters Platz every morning, always on time, and in our walking boots.
The bedrooms in the chalet were comfortable with plenty of wardrobe space and bedding. There is a very efficient heating system and lots of hot water. The wifi is fast and reliable. There is a laundry room, lots of cooking utensils and a lovely view of the mountain. At night we went to Klosters Platz, where there are some great restaurants. We went by bus or train and took a taxi home. The manager of the chalet on sight was very helpful. She got groceries in for us and helped us with transportation from the station and gave helpful advise. There is a big co-op grocery shop in Klosters Platz which is very good and quite reasonable, there is a smaller shop for basics close to the chalet. We thought the chalet was excellent value and had a superb holiday, with ages ranging from 19 to 69.
“Family Home”
We had a wonderful time with our family in both trulli’s Alto and Olivo. The trulli’s exceeded our expectations. Well managed booking proces, and we fellt very welcome on our arrival. Everything is at hand in the trulli’s, we had really nothing left to worry about. As experienced Italy travellers we are always prepared to solve problems ourselves, but no problems at all this time! Nice restaurants and supermarkets at 10 minutes (by car). Fine kitchen to prepare your own dinners. Nice terrace, lovely countryside, and superb pool, even in summer heated by the sun! That would be an improvement though. Talk to the neighbour farmer: he will bring you fresh vegetables, tomatoes etc. – Trip Advisor September 2014.
“Lovely cottage in a picture postcard village”
Lovely well equipped cottage providing excellent accommodation for our family gathering of six adults.First class accommodation with three bathrooms! Lovely village pub, good walks from front door and lovely villages only a short drive away.
“Wonderful cottage and facilities”
A wonderful cottage. Four of us had a bedroom each, there were two bathrooms / toilets and an additional shower room with toilet on the ground floor. This was very important to us as one of our friends only has one leg and this meant he had no stairs to climb. He had a downstairs bedroom and his own washroom facilities. Ample space in the kitchen which was fully equipped with everything you would need to stay and a large kitchen table. Large fridge / freezer. A lovely lounge which then led to another room with table and chairs.
The best part for me was I originally spoke to Mark about the booking and explained we had a disabled person with us. Everything he said about the cottage and as listed on his website is true. No nasty surprises.
Another added bonus was the Lamb pub some 5 minutes walk away. Lovely beer, food and staff.
All in all a wonderful time in Great Rissington and would have no hesitation in recommending and we will be returning.
“We loved it!”
The chalet is great. It’s big, very well furnished and decorated. We were two families – 4 adults, plus 4 children between the ages of 1 and 5. The house had everything we needed. I couldn’t get enough of the view out the living room window. The red RhB trains (quietly) drove by several times an hour. The kids continuously ran outside to watch the trains. Madrisa gondola was a 5 min walk up the street. Our kids loved Madrisaland. Bus stop to Klosters Platz pretty much in front of the house. Most of the time we walked from Klosters Dorf to Klosters Platz through the village and pastures.
“Hidden gem in Southern Italy …. beautiful Trulli with pool.”
Rural quite location but only 2kms from Alberobello. Ideal to explore the Puglia region. The property is a beautifully restored semi detached Trulli with two good sized bedrooms which now benefit from the recent addition of air conditioning. Pool is a really good size and we were lucky to have some fantastic neighbours during our 2 week stay. Car is necessary but location is within 5 min drive to Alberobello which has a good range of restaurants. Approximately a 30 min drive to the coast which we enjoyed on several days. This was our first trip to Puglia and will now not be our last and we would certainly look to stay in Trulli Olivio again.
“Home from home in a beautiful village location”
Great cottage and perfect for a girls weekend away. Well stocked kitchen and comfortable sitting room. Lovely location within easy drive of beautiful Burford. We had a great time.
