“Fantastic Stay @ Easterleigh Cottage”
Recently stayed at Easterleigh Cottage to celebrate mums 60th Birthday. Never been to the Cotwold’s before and Great Rissington was everything we had ever imagined it to be like. Stunning surroundings, views and villages.
The cottage was simply beautiful! Immaculately cleaned, fresh linen and towels awaiting us, more space than we knew what to do with and very comfortable. Bright and spacious dinning room to enjoy meals as a family, lovely log fire to snuggle up in front of in the evening and a very pretty garden with various nooks and crannies to explore and enjoy bbq’s in on a lovely summers day.
Couldn’t have asked for a better cottage!! Will definitely stay again!! Highly recommend
“Home from home in a beautiful village location”
Great cottage and perfect for a girls weekend away. Well stocked kitchen and comfortable sitting room. Lovely location within easy drive of beautiful Burford. We had a great time.
“Superb and spacious chalet with excellent views”
The chalet itself could not be better. We’ve never stayed in a better one. It is tasteful and spacious, the kitchen is excellent. The sauna and turkish bath are a true treat after a day in the snow. The terrace is really big and since we had only good whether we used it every day. The view from the chalet on the old village and mountains is really superb. Klosters is still as charming as it was decades ago and is unspoiled by mass tourism. All in all, you will never regret a stay in Chalet Rhaetia.
“Perfect location for exploring this wonderful unspoilt part of Italy”
We stayed in Trullo Alto for the first week of Easter holidays and it really was a perfect ‘home’ from which to enjoy Puglia. The house was well equipped, even down to the more than welcome bottle of wine and chilled Peroni which awaited us when we arrived late on the Saturday evening! There was enough space for us all both inside and outside, and we felt the children were able to make use of the pool and outdoors without us having to worry about anything.
The villa and grounds are well maintained and have good facilities – especially useful was the washer/dryer and large fridge which are located in a little outhouse behind the house. The views are fabulous! We enjoyed looking out onto fields of vegetables and olive groves whilst having our ‘aperitivo’ and cooking on the BBQ.
One of our party brought his bike along which enabled him to go out each morning and explore the countryside – perfect cycling conditions apparently!
The driveway/track up to the house was a little scary to start…. very narrow and we had a large Subaru Forrester….! However, we managed to survive the week with no mishaps or scratches to the car so it can be done!
Puglia is gorgeous…. very unspoilt and probably even better that we were off season. The food is amazing and incredibly good value. The quote of the holiday was that it would be hard to go back to Waitrose ice cream after all that wonderful gelato in Puglia (twice a day….!) And as for the burrata…. mozzarella in the UK will never taste as fresh!
“Hidden gem in Southern Italy …. beautiful Trulli with pool.”
Rural quite location but only 2kms from Alberobello. Ideal to explore the Puglia region. The property is a beautifully restored semi detached Trulli with two good sized bedrooms which now benefit from the recent addition of air conditioning. Pool is a really good size and we were lucky to have some fantastic neighbours during our 2 week stay. Car is necessary but location is within 5 min drive to Alberobello which has a good range of restaurants. Approximately a 30 min drive to the coast which we enjoyed on several days. This was our first trip to Puglia and will now not be our last and we would certainly look to stay in Trulli Olivio again.
“Wonderful cottage and facilities”
A wonderful cottage. Four of us had a bedroom each, there were two bathrooms / toilets and an additional shower room with toilet on the ground floor. This was very important to us as one of our friends only has one leg and this meant he had no stairs to climb. He had a downstairs bedroom and his own washroom facilities. Ample space in the kitchen which was fully equipped with everything you would need to stay and a large kitchen table. Large fridge / freezer. A lovely lounge which then led to another room with table and chairs.
The best part for me was I originally spoke to Mark about the booking and explained we had a disabled person with us. Everything he said about the cottage and as listed on his website is true. No nasty surprises.
Another added bonus was the Lamb pub some 5 minutes walk away. Lovely beer, food and staff.
All in all a wonderful time in Great Rissington and would have no hesitation in recommending and we will be returning.
